Bunnahabhain 40 Year Old

Bunnahabhain is quite distinct from the other Islay single malts as it is created using unpeated malted barley and pure spring water that flows freely underground away from the peaty moorlands. This 40-year-old Islay single malt is bottled at 41.9% abv, free from chill filtration.

Bunnahabhain 40 Year Old is a copper beauty with fragrant notes of sweet oak, hazelnut, citrus peat and chocolate with hints of light smokiness. On the tongue the 40-year-old has a rich and complex balance of heather honey, ginger chocolate and sweet fruits, finished with a teasingly long lightly spicy nutty note and a hint of sea salt.
